Great River's clinical team was drowning in PA’s - 60 minutes per submission, backlogs stretching weeks. With Lamar Health, they cut that process to 3 minutes and cleared the backlog entirely
Before Lamar Health, Great River's PA workflow was fragmented and entirely manual. Staff spent 15-30 minutes hunting down the right records in Cerner for a single patient, then another 15-30 minutes manually processing the submission. With each PA consuming up to an hour of dedicated human labor, backlogs were inevitable -submissions sat in queues for weeks before reaching the payer, delaying critical medication decisions and burning out staff.
Great River went live on the Lamar Health platform on March 2, 2026. . Following a brief two-week stabilization period, Lamar Health took over document retrieval, demographic extraction, and clinical data compilation automatically within Cerner- shifting staff from data-entry work to high-level clinical review.
